Undiscovered Artists Exhibition

I have been selected for the Undiscovered Artists Exhibition at the Weinstein JCC in RVA! The opening reception for the exhibition is Thursday, November 10 at 7:00 pm. The work will be on display till December 8.

Grad school, First Friday RVA and Work in Progress

I’m sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve been busy applying for grad school which has taken all of my attention while I’m not at work. It’s a lot of work, but I hope all my hard work will pay off.

I am happy to announce that I will have a table at Studio 8 West during First Friday Art Walk on December 2. I am going to have custom made stationary, gift tags, gift ideas and more! After that event, whatever I have left I will post on my Etsy.

Here is some pictures of a work in progress for “Show Me Yours”. I don’t have an expected finish date because I work on it little by little.

Life is too busy

I am just making a quick update. I have been unfortunately busy with job searching and then we had the earthquake, my grandmother, whom I cared for very much, she passed and then the hurricane that left me without power for a week. I have barely had the chance to sketch everyday, but I have tried. Because I have been sketching, I have a many great ideas.

Looks like life in finally starting to calm down, time for me to put my new drawing desk to some good use aside from just holding my laptop. I will post the 30-day drawing challenge sketches as promised. I also have started a few sketches for the 2012 Sketchbook Project but I still have much work to do.

Last night, my Ms. Peacock painting was featured in the Genesis 2011: College Student Juried Art Exhibition at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center.

I received word this morning that I was accepted into the 4th Annual Students’ Juried Exhibition at the Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries at Old Dominion University.

Also, I am a part of the “Make A Difference…Rebuild The Future” Art Show at the Jewish Mother in Norfolk on May 4th, from 8pm to 11pm. Come out to see some cool art!

And graduation on May 7th!
